One of our mail popular posts on Carbohydrate, Spice & Glitter is our 40 Mom-Girl Date Ideas for Every Budget, and I've been itching to create a list of grandmother-granddaughter dates, as well.

I too recall information technology would be special to get a pretty journal that you can record your dates on – and even impress out pictures and paste them in! This would be a wonderful keepsake over the years to flip through and call up all of the special moments y'all've shared.

4. Doll or bear tea party
5. Nature crafts

9. Teach a special skill

Grandparent Activities under $10

1. Swimming at the local puddle or splash pad
2. Hot chocolate at a local bakery
3. Visit to the book shop to pick out a special book (maybe one from the grandparent's own childhood)
4. Themed flick night – card, crafts, and decor surrounding a special picture show
5. Didactics them a classic board or carte game
6. Bring them to one of your "stomping grounds" and show them off – church, golf club, favourite cafe, etc.
7. Visit an fine art museum
8. Spa dark or home pedicures
9. Assemble to make a arts and crafts for mother'southward day or father's day
10. Visit a local farm – there's berry picking, apple orchards, cheese tastings, petting zoos, etc.

Grandparent Activities under $fifty

1. A visit to the beach (this may be in some other category for you lot, but for us it's at least $fifteen in gas to the beach – plus there's the obligatory ice cream afterwards)
2. A night at the movies
3. Attending a child-friendly theatre operation
4. Sharing a favourite hobby (maybe setting them up with some starter materials)
5. Special lunch engagement
6. Bowling (I loathe bowling so this works out well for me!)
7. Make a shadow box from a special issue or to gloat a birthday
8. Local effect – county off-white, summer concerts
9. Concert tickets to a children's performance (my daughter has been treated to Sharon, Lois & Brahm, the Wiggles twice, and Fred Penner by her grandparents and at present when she hears songs by those performers she is reminded of those special days)
10. Explore a local town, go for a half-day road trip

Grandparent Activities under $100

1. Membership to a local children's museum
2. Membership to a monthly craft or activity box, and doing information technology together
3. Groupon vacation – sometimes you tin get a groovy deal, my parents have been able to snag Cracking Wolf Lodge passes
4. Theme park day
5. Visit a zoo
6. Research and donate to a charity in your grandchild's proper name
7. Or, sign your grandchild up for a continuous donation – like a "sponsor a kid" programme where they will take a pen pal and sustained relationship to charitable giving
8. Water park day
9. Special dinner and a movie nighttime out (check out Eatery.com for special deals)
10. Be tourists for a day – hit up all of the attractions your grandchild may have missed out on
